Louis Tomlinson

Background

Louis William Tomlinson is a successful English singer and songwriter whose talents have set him apart. He’s a Capricorn, born Louis Troy Austin on December 24, 1991, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. When Tomlinson was a toddler, his parents, Johannah and Troy Austin, split. He is of Belgian descent and took on his stepfather’s surname. After his mother re-married, Tomlinson grew up in a blended family. He attended The Hayfield School and Hall Cross Academy.

Tomlinson’s earliest career features television appearances in “Fat Friends,” “If I Had You,” and “Waterloo Road.” In 2009, he auditioned for “The X Factor” but was unsuccessful. Tomlinson returned in 2010, where he received three yeses from the judges. However, after he failed to progress to the boys category of the competition, he was placed in a group. Other members of this group include Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Harry Styles. The group was called One Direction. Still in the competition, the band gained popularity in the U.K. and emerged in third place. In 2011, the band signed to Syco Records. Their debut single, ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’ dropped in September 2011, and their debut studio album, “Up All Night,” dropped in November that year. The band published books that made it to the “New York Times” Best Seller list. They also headlined tours and released a documentary concert film before their third album, “Midnight Memories,” dropped in 2013. In 2014, their fourth album, “Four,” was released; this was Zayn Malik’s last album with the group. Following the group’s hiatus, Tomlinson created a record label, Triple Strings Ltd., in 2015. The singer released several singles, from ‘Back to You’ with Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals in 2017 to ‘Just Like You’ the same year. In 2018, he judged the 15th season of “The X Factor.” By 2019, he signed with Arista Records and released his debut solo album, “Walls,” in January 2020. By 2021, Tomlinson signed to BMG.

Tomlinson has enviable success and fame. He dated Eleanor Calder from 2011 to 2015 and then from 2017 to the present. He has a child with Briana Jungwirth. Tomlinson shares his success with friends and family.
