Stephanie Del Valle Diaz was born on December 30, 1996, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is a model and musician, and she was crowned Miss World 2016 in Maryland. She also enjoyed singing since she was a little girl. Growing up, she always knew she wanted to model. She used to audition for local pageantries. She previously won the title of Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico in 2016, paving the way for her to win Miss World. She is the second Puerto Rican woman to win the title, following Wilnelia Merced in 1975. Stephanie Del Valle was born on December 30, 1996. Del Valle has loved to sing since she was a child, and at the age of four, she joined the prestigious ‘Coro de Niños de San Juan’ (‘San Juan Children’s Choir’). Her interest in the fine arts, particularly music, was sparked by this experience. She likes to write music and play her guitar in her free time. Being given the chance to visit Brazil with the San Juan Children’s Choir was one of her proudest moments. She first became aware of the poverty in the world at that time, and ever since, she has worked as a social worker. Her social work endeavor, “A Choir of Angels,” is a music-based therapy and wellness program for youngsters with Down syndrome.
In 2016, Miss World was held at the M.G.M. National Harbour in Oxon Hill, Maryland. 116 nations sent contestants to the pageant, and Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain, gave Del Valle the crown. Del Valle was slated to co-host Miss World 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, alongside Peter Andre and Fernando Allende. However, the December final was moved to March 2022 as a result of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 ramping up cases on the island, with 23 of the 97 contestants testing positive.
Del Valle’s presence can be felt online on her social media feeds. She frequently posts photos of her glamorous lifestyle on her Instagram feed. Del Valle put an end to months of speculations about the nature of her friendship with Barney Walsh by making their relationship public on Instagram.
