Lindsley Register was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia, with two older brothers and a younger sister. She went to Liberty University, and it wasn’t until she ditched a major in Teaching English as a Second Language (T.E.S.O.L.) during college that she started to take acting seriously. As a result, she started participating in plays, which made her fall in love with the craft. Register realized acting was something she wanted to pursue because it broadened her views and mindset. It also made her think from a different perspective instead of her own, which she was brought up with her entire life.
After her graduation from college, Register got an agent and secured roles in multiple shows and films. She also got a co-starring role in episode 404 of “House of Cards,” portraying one of the protesters opposite Kevin Spacey. This role helped her get several more roles in indie films and notable shows, such as “The Haves” and the “Have Nots.” Her first regular role was in the new History Channel series, “Six.”
Recently, she has become well-known for her role as Laura in “The Walking Dead.” She joined “The Walking Dead” cast during season seven of the show and has been a regular ever since. In 2018, Register announced on her Facebook page that she was part of the movie “Scorn,” released in 2020. In addition to her acting career, she is also a producer and writer, working in those roles for the short films “Morsus” and “Ave Maria.” She was also the executive producer of the movie “Scorn.”
