World Reading is Funny Day, celebrated every year on April 1, is aimed at rekindling a passion for reading among the younger generations. Technological advancement and the advent of ever-interesting shows on screen have made reading seem rather boring and old-fashioned for kids. Hence, Reading is Funny Day is a perfect time to reintroduce your young ones to the reading culture by gifting them or reading to them a book that catches their young reader’s attention with a giggle or two.
WE Day

WE Day is an annual event celebrated on March 21 every year. These stadium-sized youth empowerment events are organized by WE Charity, the world’s largest youth-led charity. Formerly known as ‘Free The Children,’ WE Charity operates in several countries educating thousands of children every day. It’s an organization that manages numerous collaborative programs internationally as well as domestically. With WE Charity, we can do our part to empower young children and adults throughout the world giving them the tools they need to make this world a better place.
Saint Gertrude of Nivelles Day

Saint Gertrude of Nivelles Day is observed on March 17. Saint Gertrude was an abbess who, along with her mother Itta, founded the Abbey of Nivelles. She was born around the year 626. Her birthplace is present-day Belgium. She is widely considered the Patron Saint of travelers, gardeners, widows, recently deceased souls, souls in purgatory, rodents, and, most recently, cats. Most of the information about her is mentioned in an old French book called “Vita,” written by an unknown author. The full title of the book is “Vita Sanctae Geretrudis and the Additamentum Nivialense de Fuilano.”
