Boston Pizza advertised it as “great for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weddings, and even lonely nights watching infomercials.” Later in April, they posted a pizza cake recipe on “So Good Blog” and was described as “heavenly” by a Reddit user who tried it. In September, Pillsbury Company posted a pizza cake recipe by Shawn Syphus and it went viral — making them sometimes mistakenly attributed as the creator of the recipe.
The Boston Pizza’s pizza cake is six-layered, and the Daily Mirror gave it a total of 5,000 calories. There were various reviews about the recipe.
