Background

Tiffany Pollard was born on January 6, 1982, in Utica, New York, to Michelle Rothschild-Patterson and Alex Pollard. Pollard has used both of her unmarried parents’ surnames. She went to John F. Kennedy Middle School and Thomas R. Proctor High School. Pollard was engaged to the “I Love New York” season 1 winner, Patrick ‘Tango’ Hunter, for six months before it got called off on the reunion program. She was also engaged to the “I Love New York 2” winner, George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber. On the sixth episode of her show, “New York Goes to Hollywood,” she announced her breakup from Weisgerber.

Pollard gained public attention for her roles in two shows that drew the largest crowds on basic television. They were VH1’s “Flavor of Love,” which aired from 2006 to 2007, and “I Love New York,” which aired from 2007 to 2008. Pollard battled with nearly every other contender on the shows. Although these feuds were often yelling contests, an event in the penultimate episode of season one resulted in bloodshed. The fight was named number one on several VH1 and M.T.V. reality show specials, including VH1’s “20 Greatest Celebreality Fights.” The final two contestants traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where Flavor Flav chose Nicole ‘Hoopz’ Alexander as his mate over Pollard. Flavor Flav decided to do a second season of his dating show after his relationship with Alexander failed; he invited Pollard to assist him in removing contestants midway through the season. “I Love New York” was Pollard’s first reality television series on VH1. The show is a spin-off of “Flavor of Love,” a relationship competition show in which Pollard was a finalist for two consecutive seasons.

Pollard appeared on an episode of the E! Network’s “Botched” on April 14, 2015. She described her failed procedures, which left her breasts sagging and with excess skin. Pollard entered the “Celebrity Big Brother” home in the United Kingdom in 2016. She finished fourth, higher than any other American female who had competed on the show. Pollard’s VH1 web series “Brunch with Tiffany” debuted in 2017. Pollard is followed in the series as she conducts an informal interview with a celebrity visitor over brunch. Sonja Morgan, from “The Real Housewives of New York,” appeared in the pilot. Pollard appeared on VH1’s “Scared Famous” later that year. In 2018, she collaborated with Flavor Flav on “Braxton Family Values.” She also appeared on “Hip Hop Squares.” Pollard appeared as a guest judge on season 11 of RuPaul’s “Drag Race” in 2019. She returned to “Botched” the same year due to difficulties from a breast implant procedure. In 2020, she appeared as David McIntosh’s ex on the eleventh season of “Celebrity Ex on the Beach.” Pollard was a cast member on “The TS Madison Experience” in 2021. In 2022, Pollard began hosting the “Hot Haus” homosexual reality competition on OutTV.
