Norman Reedus

Background

Norman Mark Reedus is a versatile actor who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry, which he has been a part of for the last three decades. He was born on January 6, 1969, in Florida, U.S., and moved around a lot when he was younger, both within the States and abroad, mainly in Japan, where he spent his early years. He has one sister, Leslie Reedus. He runs a production company called Big Bald Head. Although Reedus started as an artist, he has sculpted, painted, and photographed many different works for several shows. While trying to make a name for himself, he also worked at a Harley-Davidson shop in Venice Beach to fund his career.

His movie career began in 1997 when he starred in the movie “Mimic” which became the starting point for his career and made him one of Hollywood’s most well-known actors. In 1999, he started to receive major roles in big-budget movies, one of which was “The Boondock Saints.” His start in T.V. came in 2003 with the series “Charmed.” This was a massive development for his career, and he came to be viewed as an extremely versatile actor.

Another feather in his cap was his role as Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead,” a popular American T.V. show. The series began in 2010 and saw the actor rise to award-winning status, taking home several achievements such as Best T.V. Hero and Best T.V. Supporting Actor. Apart from being a celebrated actor, he continues with his photography and released a book titled, “The Sun’s Coming Up…Like A Big Bald Head” in 2013, which was a collection of his selected photographs.
