Aspiring to be an actor and writer, he won the Young Playwright’s Contest at age 12. After his high school years, he decided to go to a science school, and just a few years after graduating, Cohen moved to Toronto to study acting. In his new hometown, Cohen landed his first voice acting job on the T.V. series “Pippi Longstocking.” His career took off after he appeared in “Moville Mysteries,” and subsequently “Queer as Folk,” “Doc,” “RoboRoach,” and “Henry’s World.”
From 2006 to 2009, Cohen was the voice behind Ty Archer on the T.V. series “Grossology.” Winning critical acclaim and success, Cohen and the show received a Gemini Award nomination, the Canadian equivalent of an Emmy nomination. In 2011, the actor appeared in the series “Modern Family,” and in the following years, he also appeared in “2 Broke Girls” (2012) and the Disney series “Austin & Ally,” to name a few. In 2014, he played Michael Schwartz in the Nickelodeon children’s series “Henry Danger” and later in its spinoffs, “The Adventures of Kid Danger,” and “Danger Force”. Cohen was also a part of major film productions such as “Whiplash,” an Oscar-nominated film, and “It Was You Charlie,” for which he received an A.C.T.R.A. Award nomination.
