Laura Marie Marano is a singer and actress based in the U.S. She started her career in the Disney Channel series “Austin & Ally” as Ally Dawson. Marano was born in Los Angeles, California to college professor, Damiano Marano and former actress Ellen Marano. Laura was raised alongside Vanessa Marano, her elder sister, who plays the role of Bay in A.B.C. Family’s “Switched at Birth.” When Marano was five, she got introduced to acting at her mother’s theatre When she was five, Marano’s parents discovered that the little girl had talent. Laura began acting professionally when she was in high school. She booked her first full-time job on “Austin & Ally.”
In 2013, began to work on her music career so she recorded four solo songs and one duet. Her single ‘Me and You’ debuted within the U.S. “Billboard Kid Digital Songs” chart at number 19 but eventually rose to number six.
In 2015, Marano enrolled at the University of Southern California where she majored in Philosophy, Politics, and Law.
