Kylian Mbappé Lottin was born in Bondy, Paris, on December 20, 1998, to Wilfried Mbappé and Fayza Lamari. He is of mixed heritage. His father is Cameroonian, and his mother, a former handball star, is Algerian. Jirès Kembo Ekoko, Mbappé’s older brother, is a professional football player adopted by Mbappé’s father when he was a child. Mbappé’s younger brother, Ethan, is also a soccer player. Mbappé began playing football at A.S. Bondy at age six, later proceeding to the Clairefontaine National Football Center. He made his debut for Monaco in a Ligue 1 match against S.M. Caen on December 2, 2015. By the age of 16, he had surpassed Thierry Henry’s record and become Monaco’s youngest-ever first-team player.

Mbappé scored his first goal for Monaco on February 20, 2016, making him the club’s youngest goal-scorer. He also scored his first hat-trick in Monaco, leading him to sign a three-year contract with A.S. Monaco. On February 11, 2017, he scored his first hat-trick in Ligue 1 when his team overcame Football Club de Metz. On February 21, Mbappé became the second-youngest French footballer to score in the U.E.F.A. Champions League. On August 31, he signed for Paris Saint-Germain on loan. A week later, he made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring a goal against Metz. When Mbappé scored against Bayern Munich on December 6, he became the youngest player to score a 10th Champions League goal.

Mbappé was elected to the national team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on May 17, 2018. A month later, he scored his first FIFA World Cup goal. During the game, Mbappé became the second minor after Pelé to score twice in a World Cup tournament. He later scored a goal in the World Cup Final against Croatia on July 15, helping France win the World Cup. Mbappé also made history by becoming the second youngster to score in a World Cup Final. He is currently dating Alicia Aylies, whom he met through Benjamin Pavard, a teammate on the French national team. They’ve been dating for three years.
