Why We Love Dua Lipa
She’s vocal about supporting women
Lipa is outspoken in her defense of women, speaking out against the way the media portrays them and calling out trolls. She told MiNDFOOD, “What’s happening now is sort of revolutionary; we only stand up for what we believe in, what we feel comfortable doing, what rings true for us, and what makes us feel proud of ourselves.” She has also backed Planned Parenthood's Bans Off My Body campaign, which opposes limits on the practice of legal abortion. For Lipa, who declares that "to be free is what I stand for," women's freedom is of utmost importance.
She is grateful
Lipa does not take her fame lightly, and she realizes that in many fields, women still have to work considerably more than men to achieve their goals. It makes us a lot stronger, and it’s an incredible thing that fills you with so much gratitude and pushes you where you want to be.”
