Transgender Day of Visibility

Transgender Day of Visibility is an international event on March 31 dedicated to recognizing the resilience and accomplishments of the transgender community. On this day, we celebrate the transgender population amongst us, raise awareness about the struggles that they face, and advocate for more protected rights for them in a bid to reform society and empower this community — as it so rightfully deserves. Let’s join hands together with the trans community to celebrate not ‘fitting in’ when we all yearn to stand out!

Holi

Holi, the festival of colors, is celebrated on March 4 and acquires a renowned spot in ancient Hindu festivals. The excitement of having vibrant colors scattered in the air is delightful. The two-day festival is a pleasant way of welcoming spring. All people, regardless of their age, take part in this event with enthusiasm and vigor. So let’s just grab our ‘gulal’ (colored powder thrown at each other as a symbol of joy and love) and celebrate the victory of good over evil.

National Black Forest Cake Day

If there’s one thing that we are absolute suckers for at National Today, it is a black forest cake, and you bet we are super excited for the day March 28 rolls around and we get to celebrate National Black Forest Day. First of all, the absolute beauty of the cake itself deserves its own accolades — like those chocolate shavings accompanied with maraschino cherries and white cream! Don’t even get us started on the taste because then we are going to be here the whole day. Did you know that the cake was originally a simple dessert consisting of cream, cherries, chocolate, and alcohol? That still sounds tasty, if you ask us.
