Tiffani Amber Thiessen was born on January 23, 1974, in Long Beach, California, to Robyn and Frank Thiessen. She has two siblings and spent her childhood in Long Beach. Thiessen attended Cubberley Elementary and Marshall Junior High. She later graduated as a valedictorian from Valley Professional High School in Los Angeles. When she was eight, she began acting and modeling at her uncle’s insistence, Roger Ernest, and was soon featured in her first T.V. commercial for Peaches and Cream Barbie. However, her appearance as Kelly Kapowski, a popular cheerleader, on N.B.C.’s “Saved by the Bell” in 1989 proved to be her big break.
