St. Vincent was born Anne Erin ‘Annie’ Clark in Dallas, Texas, where she was raised and went to school. Her career eventually started when she became an invaluable member of the Polyphonic Spree. She had amazing performances that helped her develop her skills as an entertainer and she later joined Sufjan Stevens’s touring band, allowing her to travel and experience her audience in different places.
