Alyssa Michelle Stephens, popularly known as Latto, was born on December 22, 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She has been making a name for herself since she was 10 and has been releasing music consistently since 2016. Latto previously competed in and won the reality competition show “The Rap Game.” She released her first single, ‘No More Talking’ in 2016. Latto opened her store in 2017 called Pittstop Clothing. In 2019, she got her big break with ‘B**h from da Souf.’

She performed at the Rolling Loud annual hip-hop festival in Miami, Florida, in 2019. Later that same year, Latto released a remixed version of ‘B**h from da Souf’ as part of her second E.P. project titled “Hit The Latto.” In 2020, she released her major-label debut project, “Queen of Da Souf,” which has gained over 300 million streams worldwide. Other notable songs from the project include ‘In n Out’ with City Girls and ‘Muwop’ with Gucci Mane, which has since received R.I.A.A. Gold certification.

The remixed single of ‘Muwop’ went R.I.A.A.-certified Platinum in 2021, making Latto the first solo female rapper from Atlanta to accomplish this feat. Latto has already published the lead single from her upcoming studio album, “Big Energy” (2022). The album will also include joint efforts with other musicians, such as 21 Savage.
