Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Joseline Hernández is an Afro-Puerto Rican rapper, reality television star, and actress whose originality has earned her fans worldwide. Hernández is of Afro-Latin American descent, and she is a Scorpio who had a rough childhood. She grew up in the public housing system, and her biological father overdosed on heroin, causing his death. Hernández moved to Florida at six with her mother, stepfather, and five siblings. To make ends meet, she began stripping.
Hernández’s first appearance on television was in a 2007 pilot for Showtime. Although the show failed, she introduced herself as Shenellica Bettencourt. Her life changed after she was discovered by a record producer, Steven Jordan, a.k.a. Stevie J., in a strip club in Atlanta. By 2012, she was part of the original cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Hernández was introduced as Stevie J’s new artist and an aspiring singer and rapper. Hernández is a successful reality star who has been in the public eye since 2012. She dated Stevie J. for five seasons of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” and bore a child for him in 2016. She is currently engaged to Robin Ingouma, a record producer better known as Balistic Beats. He has appeared in all three seasons of “Joseline’s Cabaret” and was also the music producer of the show.
