Even though Upjohn originally referred to the position as Medical Science Liaisons, over the years and into the present, companies have used a variety of names for the position, including ‘Medical Liaisons,’ ‘Medical Managers,’ ‘Regional Scientific Managers,’ ‘Clinical Liaisons,’ and ‘Scientific Affairs Managers,’ to name a few.
