Clay, also known as Dream, is a popular YouTuber who was born on August 12, 1999, in Florida, U.S. He is known for his “Minecraft” videos, in which he competes against other players. His videos are usually livestreamed on YouTube or Twitch. He created his YouTube channel in 2014 and uploaded his very first “Minecraft” video in 2019. In his first video, he purposefully plays the popular game poorly to trigger his viewers. The video now has over 16 million views.

Dream’s popularity rose throughout 2020 as his content gained recognition from fellow YouTubers, channel critics, and “Minecraft” fans. His “Minecraft Speedrunner V.S. 3 Hunters GRAND FINALE” video was ranked number seven by YouTube on the ‘Top Trending Video’ list, number two on the ‘Top Creator’ list, and number one on the ‘Breakout Creator’ list. In 2020, the popular American video game website, Polygon, described his channel as YouTube’s biggest gaming channel of the moment. In the same year, he participated in the “Minecraft” Championship and came first in the eighth and 11th competitions. He took part in the 10th “Minecraft” Championship, where he played for charity and managed to raise $3,400. However, he was accused of cheating in multiple Speedruns, which he has denied. In 2021, a livestream of his game video became the sixth highest-viewed gaming stream of all time. Within the same year, he was mentioned in a “Business Insider” article, which highlighted that his tremendous YouTube growth between the years 2019 and 2020 was because of his excellent understanding of the YouTube algorithm. His most-watched YouTube series is “Minecraft Hunt,” in which he attempts to finish the game as fast as possible without dying while the Hunters of the game try to kill him. In 2022, he uploaded his last “Minecraft Hunt” video and announced that he might bring the series back in the future.

In 2021, the famous YouTuber ventured into music and released three singles in one year. His first single, ‘Roadtrip,’ gained over 25 million YouTube views. His second single, ‘Mask,’ was later criticized for its lyrics and music video. His third single, ‘Change My Clothes,’ was a duet with Alec Benjamin, an American singer-songwriter. In the same year, he showed great generosity and donated $1,40,000 to The Trevor Project, an L.G.B.T.Q. youth charity, and $21,409 to cancer research.
