During the time between 1995 to 1998, Hardwick appeared on M.T.V.’s “Singled Out.” He later played a role in the Rob Zombie horror films “House of 1,000 Corpses” and “Halloween II.” He also appeared in projects like “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” “C.S.I.,” “Married… with Children,” “Boy Meets World,” and “Zoey 101.” In 2007, Hardwick became a contributing writer for “Wired Magazine” and wrote for projects like “Web Soup” and “Back at the Barnyard.” He and Mike Phirman formed the musical comedy duo Hard ‘n Phirm and premiered their Comedy Central special in 2008. Two years later, he began filming “The Nerdist Podcast” with Jonah Ray and Matt Mira.
In 2011, Hardwick formed an equity partnership with GeekChicDaily to form Nerdist Industries. The following year, Nerdist was acquired by Legendary Entertainment, and Hardwick was made co-president of the digital business. In 2018, he announced his contract with Legendary had lapsed and that Nerdist would be rebranded to ID10T after his departure.
