Background

Charlie H. Wright was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 22, 1999. His father, Richard Wright, is an eclectic photographer with a passion for beauty, fashion, and celebrity portraiture. And his mother, Florence Déprez Wright, is a movie producer and writer. Wright has appeared in commercials directed by his father. His mother, who is of French-Japanese descent, founded INGENIOUS MEDIA. Among her credits are “Something Borrowed, Something New,” “The Afterschool Awards,” “Closet Genius,” “The After School Awards,” and “L’enchanteur.”

Wright began his acting career in 2014 when he appeared as the younger version of Adam, a character played by Nelson Franklin, in the episode ‘Miller’s Mind’ of the comedy T.V. series “The Millers,” the central plot of which revolves around a dysfunctional family. Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, Jayma Mays, and J.B. Smoove played the lead roles. Then, in 2016, he played Adam in two episodes of the comedy-drama series “Better Things.”

Wright appeared in the comedy-drama film “Ingrid Goes West,” directed by Matt Spicer, in 2017. He played Chuck in the film, and Aubrey Plaza played Ingrid Thorburn, an unstable woman seen chasing a social media star played by Elizabeth Olsen. He then starred in David Bowers’ comedy film “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul,” playing Rodrick Heffley, a mischievous adolescent who is always up to schemes and pranks with his brother Greg, previously played by Jason Drucker.

Wright made an appearance as a guest star in Hunter Ray Barker’s short film “The Great American Mud Wrestle” in 2018. In the pilot episode of the horror drama T.V. series “Yellowjackets,” in 2021, he played Kevyn.
