National Proofreading Day – March 4

National Proofreading Day, celebrated each year on March 8, is a day to promote error-free writing. We all make typos, grammar mistakes, and spelling errors when we write, especially if we are moving too fast! National Proofreading Day is an opportunity to slow down, proofread our work, and then proof it again. And if you’re lucky enough to work with an editor who proofs your work for you, National Proofreading Day is a great opportunity to thank them for always ensuring that your writing is free of mistakes.

National Oreo Cookie Day – March 6

On National Oreo Cookie Day (March 6) we celebrate America’s number one cookie. With crisp chocolate cookies and creamy filling, these little cookies have captured our hearts — and our stomachs. The Oreo was first introduced in 1912 and it has been the bestselling cookie in America ever since. We love to dunk them, twist them, and straight up take a bite. Here’s to the delicious Oreo.

National Frozen Food Day – March 6

On March 6, we celebrate subzero sustenance with National Frozen Food Day. The day was established by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 with Proclamation #5157: “Now, Therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 6, 1984, as Frozen Food Day, and I call upon the American people to observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.” So, get thee to the frozen food aisle and stock up your freezers to celebrate National Frozen Food Day — the president demands it!

National Dress Day – March 6

On National Dress Day, we celebrate the most versatile and fun article of clothing there is — the dress! Fashion designer Ashley Lauren founded the day to help pay homage to dresses and the magical moments that happen when we wear them. “I remember the dresses I wore to my prom, first job interview, first date, competing in a pageant, my first red carpet event, the list goes on,” she says. “This is a fun day to cherish and celebrate those memories.”

National Dentist’s Day – March 6

March 6 is National Dentist’s Day, a day to celebrate the men and women who keep our chompers chomping, our gnashers gnashing, and our whites pearly. Dentists are doctors who specialize in oral health. It’s their job to prevent, diagnose, and treat oral diseases, monitor the growth of our teeth and jaws, and perform surgical procedures on our teeth and mouths! Dental health is integral to our overall health, so today we salute them not just for keeping our teeth looking good, but keeping our bodies in tip-top shape.

National Pack Your Lunch Day – March 10

Remember the good ol’ days when your mom used to pack you lunch in elementary school? You’d trade kids for the best snacks at lunchtime and eat three bites of your healthy food before throwing the rest away (we’re not judging). Recapture the magic on March 10 with Pack Your Lunch Day! From the classic PB&J to the Pinterest-worthy mason jar salad, homemade lunches are both fun and filling. Best of all, since you make it yourself, you can pack all your favorite foods! (But don’t just pack yourself a lunch full of brownies — your mother taught you better than that.) Get ready to brown-bag it up!
