Zane Hijazi

Background

Zane Ahmed Hijazi was born, in Miami, Florida, on November 18, 1992. There isn’t much information about his family other than the fact that he has one brother and two sisters. Hijazi is a college graduate, unlike many young social media stars who dropped out of high school or college to pursue their online professions. He graduated from Broward College with a degree in Hospitality and Management. He enjoys socializing with his YouTube colleague Heath Hussar and other YouTubers. Hijazi is friends with social media personality Amanda Cerny, who once created a Vine video called “Beer Goggles” with him and Lele Pons, which helped him catch the initial attention of his fans.

Hijazi did not intend to become a social media star. He wanted to work in the tourism industry and was able to pursue a career as a travel director. He has also worked for other logistic companies, planning sizable events at numerous Florida hotels and airports. Hijazi stumbled into social networking and launched a collaboration channel, ‘Zane and Heath,’ with his friend Hussar. In a short of months, they became incredibly successful because of their funny six-second videos.

After experiencing social media success, Hijazi launched his own self-titled YouTube channel in 2012, where he also began making amusing videos. These videos, which frequently featured Hussar and other Hijazi pals, were filled with hilarity, absurdity, and sarcasm. These upbeat videos quickly garnered plenty of visitors to the channel, and soon people became hooked on Hijazi and his pals’ antics. Currently, Hijazi’s YouTube channel has over three million subscribers. Hijazi is also incredibly popular on other social media sites, with over 1.8 million followers on Twitter, 3.3 million admirers on Instagram, and 6.4 million fans on TikTok.
