Lauren Burnham was born November 19, 1991, in Virginia Beach, Virginia; she is originally from Dallas, Texas. Her father, Dave Burnham, was a naval officer in command of a strike fighter squadron, while her mother, Pamela Burnham, was a businesswoman. She attended Central Kitsap High School before going to Old Dominion University. While in university, she volunteered at food banks and a local Christian outreach center. Burnham worked as a technology salesperson at Vonage in Dallas, Texas, before getting cast on the 22nd season of the ABC series “The Bachelor.”

On March 26, 2018, an estimated 7.7 million viewers tuned in to watch the shocking finale of season 22 of the American reality T.V. show “The Bachelor.” She established herself as one of the leading contenders for the ring and was one of the show’s fan favorites by the end of the series. Luyendyk chose Kufrin to be his future wife, but in a surprise twist, he broke off the relationship after a few weeks, citing that he couldn’t get over his feelings for Burnham. He proposed to her in the famous “After the Final Rose” special episode. The couple moved to Arizona, where Luyendyk is from, and bought a 2,607-square-foot home in 2018. The wedding quickly followed, taking place in Hawaii on January 12, 2019.

On May 29, 2019, Burnham welcomed her first child and daughter Alessi Ren to the world. She documented her pregnancy on Instagram and YouTube, sharing the journey with her followers. In April 2020, Burnham discovered she was pregnant with their second child, but tragically, she lost the baby to miscarriage. In December 2020, the couple announced they were pregnant again, with twins, a boy, and a girl. The children, Senna James, and Lux Jacob were born via cesarean section on June 11, 2021. Burnham owns and manages Shades of Rose, a clothing line.
