Kris Wu was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China on November 6, 1990. He and his mother relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada when he was 10 years old. He returned to China at the age of 14. Then after a brief period, he and his mother again returned to Vancouver, where he attended Point Grey Secondary School and Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. He also starred in “So Young 2: Never Gone” and the romance melodrama “Sweet Sixteen” in the same year. As China’s representative, Wu attended the 59th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in February 2017. Wu’s single ‘Big Bowl, Thick Noodle’ was released on April 19, 2019, and its music video has been viewed over 90 million times on the streaming service Miaopai. Wu released a four-track E.P. called “Testing” on April 22, 2020 after the single ‘Aurora’ was released one week earlier. The E.P. was pre-ordered one million times in just 87 minutes after being released on Tencent’s streaming site QQ Music, setting a new record for the platform.
