David Archuleta was born to jazz guitarist Jeff Archuleta and salsa singer and dancer Guadalupe Mayorga on December 28, 1990, in Miami, U.S. In June 2021, he confessed that he was “not sure” of his sexuality after coming out as gay to his family in 2014.

With the three songs, he performed in the American Idol finale, ‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,’ ‘In This Moment,’ and ‘Imagine,’ Archuleta made his first appearances on music ranking charts. He sang on several episodes of the television program “Star Search” in 2003 and won the Junior Vocal Champion title on “Star Search 2.” Jive Records signed Archuleta in June 2008. In August 2008, his debut single, ‘Crush,’ was made public. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at position number two. On the “Forbes” list of the “Breakout Stars of 2008,” Archuleta came in second place. The Teen Choice Award surfboard for “Most Fanatical Fans” went to Archuleta as well. “David Archuleta,” his eponymous album, was released in November 2008.

The group rendition of ‘One Voice’ by “American Idol’s” 15th season finale featured Archuleta in April 2016. On June 15, 2018, Peter Hollens posted a video of himself and Archuleta singing together the Scottish folk ballad ‘Loch Lomond’ on his YouTube channel.
