World Flour Day

World Flour Day is acclaimed and celebrated on March 20 every year. On this day, bakers, cooks, farmers, millers, flour professionals, and all of us will celebrate flour, also known as “white gold.” For some, flour is about sustenance, survival, and satisfying satiation and hunger; for others, it is about cultivating culinary creativity and creating the best food and goods for human consumption. Flour is made from various types of grains, such as amaranth, brown rice, buckwheat, barley, corn, millet, and rye. Bread, pasta, cakes, cookies, crackers, cereals, pastries, pies, pizza, and many other foods are made from flour.

Independence Day Mauritius

Independence Day Mauritius is celebrated every year on March 12 in Mauritius. This day celebrates the island country of Mauritius and its people, culture, and traditions on the anniversary of the day that Mauritius became an independent state within the Commonwealth.

Mauritius is a country in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar, and comprises four different islands, of which the main island is the one known as Mauritius. Mauritius was a colony of Great Britain before it gained independence as an independent nation in the Commonwealth. The country is considered part of the African continent, located along the Southeast coast of Africa, east of Madagascar.

National Preschooler’s Day

National Preschooler’s Day takes place on the second Friday in March annually. This year, it takes place on March 13. Preschool is the first stage of education for children between the ages of three and five. There are different approaches to preschool, and these have been debated as people argue about the best teaching methods for children in their developmental years. Some preschools take place for half a day, while some go on for an entire day. Some people believe preschool should be in a more formal classroom setting, while others agree that it should be more informal, where preschool students can discover, play, and imagine.

It precedes National School Teachers’ Appreciation Day by a week and celebrates all preschool-attending kids around the U.S. The role of preschool teachers is very significant as they play an essential part in the child’s most formative, perceptive, and critical phase of life. This is when children start to have cognitive ideas and comprehension of the world around them. This day is to celebrate our little bundles of joy in their formative years.
