It’s time for music appreciation, only of the less common variety, on Uncommon Instrument Awareness Day, held on July 31 each year! This day is a reminder to music lovers that there are many special and uncommon instruments just waiting to be discovered. This unusual holiday encourages everyone to learn about and try a new and unusual musical instrument.
Doll Day

We celebrate Doll Day on the second Saturday in June. It takes place on June 14 this year. Dolls look like miniature people and every child plays with a doll at some point while growing up. Many dolls have names, personalities, families, houses, cars, and a whole backstory, too! A child can spend hours upon hours in the company of dolls and their make-believe worlds. Dolls aren’t just toys but a great way for children to express their feelings long before they really understand them. They also teach children the important lessons of friendship and sharing. Children often seek comfort in dolls on sad or lonely days. We can even go as far as saying that dolls can help shape our personalities.
National Raspberry Cake Day

We are always up for a celebration of cake and fruit, and when you mix them, you get the lovely National Raspberry Cake Day on July 31! This day recognizes the refreshing dessert that is a summer favorite for many. Raspberries infuse this cake with a unique flavor, elevating it to another level entirely.
