American Touch Tag Day

American Touch Tag Day

American Touch Tag Day is on October 8 and we are all set for a time to celebrate the traditional childhood game and encourage kids of all ages, and adults alike, to go out to play. The main reason behind the celebration of this day is to honor this simple game that has withstood the test of time and is loved by everyone across ages and boundaries. The best way to celebrate is by getting out in the fresh air, running around, and tagging someone.

World Octopus Day

World Octopus Day

World Octopus Day is annually marked on October 8 and we are drawing up plans to celebrate the existence of one of nature’s most iconic sea creatures. Octopuses are remarkably intelligent and adaptable. With some Octopus fossils predating the era of dinosaurs, they are known to be older than most creatures currently existing today. One thing you can be sure of is that there’s more to this amazing sea creature than a bulbous head and eight legs with suction cups.

National Deep Fried Clams Day

National Deep Fried Clams Day

We couldn’t be more excited about National Deep Fried Clams Day on November 1. Clam is the term used for several types of bivalve mollusks and usually refers to those that live as infauna and are edible. They spend the majority of their lives half-buried in the seafloor or riverbeds. With some flour, milk, eggs, and, of course, shucked clams, you can fry up a whole batch of fun today. Often referred to as the ‘barbecue’ of New England, it’s no wonder this tasty meal has a special day.
