Odie Day is celebrated on August 8 every year. Odie is the famous fictional dog from the “Garfield” comics created by the iconic cartoonist Jim Davis. Odie has also appeared in two live-action features and three C.G.I. feature-length Garfield films. Interestingly, Odie is the only character to age in the “Garfield” cartoon universe. Odie is characterized as a gullible and naive dog, but he also happens to be very caring and loving. Garfield often takes advantage of Odie’s gullibility by playing pranks or simply making fun of him. Nevertheless, their friendship is cherished by both adults and children.
Hiroshima Day

In memory of the fateful day and of those who lost their lives, Hiroshima Day is observed yearly on August 6. The observance serves as a reminder of the day when a nuclear weapon was used during an armed conflict between the United States and Japan, and the lives that were lost when an entire city was razed to the ground. Little did they know that the effects of the atomic bomb that was dropped by the U.S. on the city of Hiroshima, Japan in 1945 would be felt by the next generations of Japanese as well. There was a large-scale loss of infrastructure, and a large number of people continued to die years after the incident.
Braham Pie Day

Braham Pie Day is celebrated on the first Friday of August every year. This year the day will be celebrated on August 5. Braham is a town in the American state of Minnesota that is best known for its delicious and sinful pies. Enthusiasts gather in Braham to eat pies and also participate in craft shows, costumes, and performances related to the famous pies.
Braham pie doesn’t come in a particular flavor, and any homemade pie can be considered a Braham pie. It’s a day of celebration for bakers, customers, vendors, and anybody who loves a good pie.
