Introduction
A day for everyone around the world to show some love to the trees that provide us with so much, including food, shelter and oxygen. Hug a tree and feel the love and warmth.
Why We Love International Treehugger Day
Treehuggers rock!
Treehuggers are saving this planet one sapling planting at a time.
International Treehugger Day Activities
Hug a tree
Nothing feels better than connecting with nature.
Plant a tree
Plant a tree so our children and their children will have trees to hug, oxygen to breath, fruit to eat and shade from the sun.
Thank a treehugger for helping to save our planet.
Treehuggers work tirelessly to keep our planet healthy. If you can't find a tree, hug a treehugger today.
International Treehugger Day timeline
July 15th is hereby designated as International Treehugger Day. A day to celebrate all the treehuggers, tree-huggers or tree huggers around the world that are fighting climate change and global warming on a daily basis.
"Treehugger" is used for the Bishnois, who perished in the Khejarli massacre in September 1730 in Northern India, while protecting trees.
