Background

Jeffrey Lamar Williams, known professionally as Young Thug, was born on August 16, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised in Sylvan Hills, an Atlanta area that has produced several well-known artists. Chainz or even Ludacris can be included on this list.

He independently published his debut singles in 2011 with the mixtape “I Came from Nothing,” which soon caught the attention of the musician Gucci Mane, who introduced him to the music business more formally. Before signing with Atlantic Records in 2013, he had his first record deal with 1017 Brick Squad Records. Along with this label, he released the critically acclaimed mixtape “1017 Thug,” which “Rolling Stone” magazine even listed as one of the top five mixtapes of 2013.

His career has now taken an upward trajectory, and in 2014, while switching labels and leaving a successful legacy, he garnered special notice for the songs ‘Stoner’ and ‘Danny Glover.’ He began working on his song ‘Feels’ with internationally renowned musician Ed Sheeran in 2019. He also collaborated with rapper Lil Nas X and country music veteran Billy Ray Cyrus on the song ‘Old Town Road,’ which became a hit on the Internet. Y.S.L. Records is presently his agent.

In terms of Young Thug’s personal life, we know that he began dating businesswoman Jerrika Karlae just before the start of 2015 and that he proposed to her that same year. They have, however, already ended their relationship. He previously had various relationships with whom he had six children.
