Matthew Montgomery, known as Piggy D., was born on November 16, 1975. He is an American musician best known as the guitarist for the horror punk band Wednesday 13 and the bassist for Rob Zombie. He initially took up bass duties with Rob Zombie, performing ‘American Witch’ live on the “Late Show with David Letterman” just before embarking on the second leg of the “Educated Horses” tour in late 2006. He still has a strong solo career in addition to performing with Zombie.

Matthew Montgomery, known as Piggy D., co-directed “Along Came a Spider: the Movie,” a short 10-minute promo movie for Alice Cooper’s album, that was posted on October 2, 2008, on Cooper’s official YouTube page. Three tracks from the album were included in the film: ‘Vengeance is Mine,’ ‘(In Touch with Your) Feminine Side,’ and ‘Killed by Love.’ Alice Cooper, Slash, Roxxi Dott, Howie Pyro, and Dave Pino appear in the video. Montgomery also did the album’s visual design, including the album cover and various teaser posters. Montgomery has also provided artwork for John 5’s solo albums. His work may be found in the films “Remixploitation,” (2009), “Requiem (2008), and “The Devil Knows My Name” (2007). Montgomery also collaborated on the artwork for Lita Ford’s latest album, “Wicked Wonderland.”

Montgomery co-wrote and produced the first Alice Cooper Halloween song, ‘Keepin’ Halloween Alive,’ in 2009. The single was available digitally on iTunes and a limited edition C.D. A seven-inch glow-in-the-dark record was also issued. The first studio album with Zombie, including Montgomery, was released in February 2010. Montgomery co-wrote the song ‘The Man Who Laughs.’ Montgomery co-wrote the long-awaited sequel ‘Welcome 2 My Nightmare’ with David Spreng, Bob Ezrin, and Alice Cooper in 2011. The album includes the song ‘Last Man On Earth.’

After a five-year sabbatical, Montgomery and experimental vocalist Shannon Gallant began working on a new recording project named “The Haxans.” The pair has two tracks: ‘Cold Blood’ and ‘Black Cat Bone.’ Montgomery was asked to co-write and co-produce The Doom Party’s debut album in 2011. There is no scheduled release date. With the song ‘Lucifer Rising,’ Montgomery contributed to the new Rob Zombie album “Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor” in 2013. Montgomery employs E.S.P. basses. Montgomery revealed in 2016 that he would be teaming with Ash Costello on a new project named “The Haxans,” beginning on New Year’s Day. On June 6, 2016, the first single, ‘Chains,’ was released.
