Noel Fielding

Background

Noel Fielding was born and raised in the City of Westminster, London, England. His mother is Dianne Fielding and his father’s name is Ray Fielding. He also has a brother named Michael, who is a comedian and actor as well. Growing up, Fielding attended the Croydon School of Art, which is located in South London. He went on to pursue advertising and graphic design at Buckinghamshire New University (then known as the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College). He graduated in 1995.

Fielding began his career in the late 1990s as a stand-up comic. He made a name for himself in the television stand-up showcase named “Lee Mack’s Gas.” In 1999, he started pursuing a career in films and was cast in the movie “Plunkett & Macleane.” In the year 2000, the comic-turned-actor kick-started a musical career as well, appearing in many music videos for several artists, such as Mint Royale, Razorlight, Robots in Disguise, and Kate Bush. In 2007, he starred in numerous episodes of “Vic Reeves’ House Arrest,” a show on BBC Radio 2.

He ventured into the world of art in 2008 when he held his first exhibition in Greek Street, Soho, London. Two years later, his second art exhibition took place named “Bryan Ferry vs the Jelly Fox,” at Maison Bertaux. At the request of Bill Bailey, he served as a team captain in the 2008 show “Never Mind Buzzcocks.” He became a regular captain on this show with the departure of Bailey in 2009. In 2017, Fielding gained massive popularity as the co-host of the hit series “The Great British Bake Off.” His wit and pithy sayings fascinate watchers worldwide.
