Evan Peters was born on January 20, 1987, to Julie and Phil in St. Louis, Missouri. They lived in the suburb of Ballwin. He was brought up with Catholic values and went to a Catholic grade school. His father worked as the vice president of the administration of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. The family moved to Grand Blanc, Michigan in 2001 where Evan followed his performing passion by enrolling in acting classes and modeling. He went to Grand Blanc Community High school, then moved to Los Angeles at age 15 with just his mother to follow his acting career. He started homeschooling classes after attending Burbank High school as a sophomore. His older brother, Andrew, and older paternal half-sister, Michelle were left with their father.

Peters was selected for the role of Adam Sheppard in “Clipping Adam” by Michael Picchiottino. This put him on the map and earned him the Best Breakthrough Performance at the Phoenix Film Festival. From 2004 to 2006, he was featured in “Sleepover” as Russell “SpongeBob” Hayes, “The Days” as Cooper Day, “Phil of the Future” as Seth Wosmer, and “Invasion” as Jesse Varon. He starred in numerous theatre plays too such as “Oliver Twist” at the Met Theatre, and several one-episode guest spots in television series. His major feature was Tate Langdon in the F.X. anthology series “American Horror Story.” In the second season, “Asylum” he featured as Kit Walker which earned him a nomination for the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2014, Peters featured in the comedy, “Adult World,” in the film “X-Men: Days of the Future Past” and its 2016 sequel, “X-Men: Apocalypse.” In 2019, he starred in “Mare of Easttown” and won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a limited or anthology series.

In 2012, Peters started dating fellow actor, Emma Roberts. In 2013, they had a heated argument and Roberts was arrested. Peters refused to press charges and they both termed it as “an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding.” They got engaged in 2013 but ended the relationship in March 2019. Peters then started dating, singer/ songwriter, Halsey in October 2019 but they have since split up.
