Cole Sprouse

Background

Cole Mitchell Sprouse was born in Italy. His father is Matthew Sprouse and his mother is Melanie Wright. He was born a few minutes after his twin brother, Dylan Sprouse and when he was four months old, his family relocated to California. Sprouse started acting when he was eight months old alongside his twin brother. They appeared in films, commercials, and television shows. Some of their earliest roles in television include the sitcom “Grace Under Fire,” the 1999 film “Big Daddy” and “The Master of Disguise.” In 2001, Sprouse appeared in the sitcom “Friends,” as Ross’ son. This was the first role where Sprouse appeared without his brother. In 2005, Sprouse played “Cody Martin” in the 2005 Disney series, “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” alongside his brother.

In 2011, Sprouse enrolled in the Gallatin School of Individualized Study where he pursued archaeology. He graduated in 2015 alongside his brother and worked briefly in the field of archaeology. There, he specialized in satellite imaging and geographical information systems.

On February 9, 2016, Sprouse was cast to play the role of Jughead Jones in the drama series “Riverdale,” a role that won him several awards. Three years later, he was cast to play a lead role in a major film, “Five Feet Apart.” This was the second time he played a lead role; 20 years after his first in “Big Daddy.” In 2020, he starred in the podcast “Borrasca.” He was later cast in “Moonshot” one year later where he appeared alongside Lana Condor.
