Chris Daughtry was born on December 26, 1979, in North Carolina’s Roanoke Rapids in the U.S. He was brought up in Lasker, North Carolina. His mother’s name is Sandra Daughtry and his father is James “Pete” Daughtry. He is an only child.

Growing up, he attended a private school in his locality and completed his early education. Then, he was enrolled at Fluvanna County High School, which is located in Palmyra, Virginia. He graduated in 1988. When he was 16 years of age, Daughtry developed an inclination toward music. Soon, he began taking it a bit more seriously and decided to pursue a career in the field.
