Background

Brett Favre is a retired American football quarterback who played in the National Football League, or the N.F.L., for 20 seasons. Favre was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, and was raised in the small town of Kiln. After high school, Favre was awarded a scholarship at Southern Mississippi, where he played until his departure in the 1991 N.F.L. Draft with the Atlanta Falcons.

In 1992, Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers, where he played 16 seasons, whereby he led the team to 11 playoff runs, seven division titles, four N.F.C. Championship Games, two successive Super Bowl appearances, and one championship title in Super Bowl XXXI, their first in nearly three decades. In 2008, after announcing that he would retire, Favre instead joined the New York Jets, where he played for a year, and joined the Minnesota Vikings in 2009. The year 2010 was Favre’s final season.

In his personal life, Favre has a wife, Deanna Tynes, and two daughters, Brittany and Breleigh. In 2012, Favre became a high school coach at Oak Grove High School, and in 2013, he joined the Board of Directors of “Sqor.” “Sqor” is a sports social media platform, and Favre’s role was to be a product ambassador and advisor on business interests with teams, leagues, and sports conferences. In 2016, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is no wonder why Favre has won three N.F.L. ‘Most Valuable Player’ awards, and he was an exceptional player! However, this talented footballer is not looking to return to the game anytime soon, stating “absolutely not,” when asked in 2017.
