National Hydration Day – June 23

Each June 23, the U.S. celebrates National Hydration Day. Proper hydration is vital to living a healthy life, but it’s often overlooked. Write out reminders on post-it notes or type them into your phone. You can even download apps that remind you to drink a set amount of water each day. After following these reminders for a while, they’ll likely become a habit that you’ll practice without even thinking about it.

2. Tell everyone you know to stay hydrated
Remind your loved ones that it’s important to drink lots of water each day, especially when they’re outdoors in the summer or are exercising. People often forget to prioritize hydration, but being prompted by a friend or family member who cares can stand as a great reminder.

3. Make some tasty infused water
If you avoid drinking water because you find the taste a little bland, infuse a pitcher of water with mix-ins like lemon wedges, cucumber slices, strawberries, cantaloupe, mint, or other refreshing produce. Sometimes, simply having a tasty beverage on hand can make all the difference.
