Holocaust Memorial Day is observed on January 27 every year. It is a memorial day commemorating the victims of the Holocaust, which resulted in the murder of one-third of the Jewish people, as well as countless members of other minorities, by Nazi Germany. The Holocaust was said to be an attempt to implement their “final solution” to the Jewish question. The Nazis used propaganda, persecution, and legislation to deny German Jews human and civil rights. They built their case on centuries of antisemitism.
National Man Watcher’s Day

National Man Watcher’s Day on January 8 is for women or anyone who wants to participate in the fun — albeit strange — activity of watching men. Whether it’s at home, at work, at the gym, or even along the street, this holiday is all about observing the male species as they go about their business. It’s fine to observe them subtly or directly. Ladies are frequently stared at openly, but today the tables have been turned, and men become the object of scrutiny.
Maldives Independence Day

Maldives Independence Day is marked on July 26 annually. The holiday commemorates the independence of Maldives, a beautiful country with unique picturesque beaches, from the British Empire after spending 77 years as a protectorate. The National Cadet Corps and performances by colorfully-costumed school children are among the attractions of this occasion. There is also a flag-hoisting ceremony. It is a public holiday, allowing most Maldivians to celebrate at home with their loved ones rather than going to work or school.
