Hawke’s Bay Anniversary Day

It is traditional for Hawke’s Bay Anniversary Day to be celebrated on the Friday before Labor Day, and this year it will be celebrated on October 24. A new province, Hawke’s Bay, was established on November 1, 1858, when the territory that had previously been part of Auckland Province was separated from the capital, Wellington. In 1876, the province of Hawkes’ Bay was disbanded, and the territory around Hawkes’ Bay on the eastern coast of New Zealand’s North Island became known as Hawkes’ Bay District. Despite this, the inhabitants of the former province’s region observe Hawkes’ Bay Anniversary Day as a public holiday every year.

Mashujaa Day Kenya

Mashujaa Day is observed on October 20 every year. However, in case this date ever falls on a weekend, the day is shifted to the following Monday, which is then declared as a public holiday. ‘Mashujaa’ is the Swahili word for ‘Heroes,’ and because of this, Mashujaa Day is called ‘Heroes’ Day’ also. This significant day, which honors all who have contributed to the fight for Kenya’s freedom, is a public holiday in the country.

Talent Transformation Day

Talent Transformation Day, observed on October 20, draws attention to the changing workplace landscape. It aims to bring awareness to the profound shifts currently happening in society and the workplace as a direct result of business and technology developments, including artificial intelligence (A.I.) and robotics. On Talent Transformation Day, we encourage activities that help us understand how to make the most of these significant advancements and capitalize on the opportunities they present.
