National Climate-Smart Skin Awareness Day

Climate-Smart Skin Awareness Day is observed on June 28 every year. The holiday was established by Pour Moi Skincare in June 2021. The purpose of Climate-Smart Skin Awareness Day is to draw attention to new medical research that suggests that local climates and weather have radically different effects on the health and appearance of our skin. As a result, people are being urged to make more informed decisions about how to care for their skin in the climates in which they live and travel.

National Women’s Fly Fishing Day

National Women’s Fly Fishing Day is celebrated every year on June 27. The day is dedicated to honoring and promoting female fly fishing anglers throughout the world! Emerald Water Anglers is the woman responsible for the establishment of this holiday observation in 2020. Women are encouraged to form friendships with other female anglers in their communities and fly fish, learn, uplift, and support one another. By publishing images, we can make our presence known.

National Barcode Day

National Barcode Day, observed on June 26 every year, commemorates a historical event in retail culture on which a product had its Universal Product Code (U.P.C.) scanned for the first time. On June 26, 1974, the first U.P.C. which was on a pack of Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit gum, was scanned at a grocery store in Troy, Ohio in the United States. It became a momentous achievement for the grocery industry and to date, remains one of its best innovations yet.
