Max Schneider

Background

Max Schneider was born on June 21, 1992, in Woodstock in New York. He began his early career performing from the age of three and landed an agent when he was 14. He was once a ‘swing understudy’ at “13,” the Broadway musical, and had four roles in the years 2008-09. He also worked as a model with none other than Madonna for a global campaign for Dolce & Gabbana. He also won the 2010 YoungArts Theater prize.

Schneider was a co-writer of “Show You How to Do” in 2012 with Ben Charles for the popular show “Shake It Up.” He also played Zander in “How to Rock,” the popular television series aired on Nickelodeon. He also had ‘Last 1 Standing,’ his song for the show, which appeared in a couple of episodes. He also worked in “Rags” as the lead, Charlie Prince. He added another song in 2012 with Cody Simpson for “Paradise,” his album, and it was called ‘Standing in China.’ He released “First Encounters,” his first extended play in the year 2010. In 2012, he toured for the “Make It in America Tour” with Victoria Justice. He released “NWL,” the album, in 2015. The album was funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The ‘Nothing Without Love’ single was released on May 21, 2013, with an accompanying video.

His first single under the MAX name was ‘Mug Shot.’ He has since used this acronym for his ventures. He also featured in Hoodie Allen’s album “People Keep Talking” in 2014, marking his presence in a couple of tracks. He signed with DCD2 Records in 2015, becoming the lead singer of “Witchita.” The first track ‘Mrs. Magoo’ was released on April 21, 2015, through Hellcat Records. Schneider went on a tour with Hoodie Allen, Wiz Khalifa, and Fall Out Boy in June 2015. He was also chosen as the Elvis Duran Artist of the Month in 2016 while appearing on the “Today” show on NBC. He also performed ‘Gibberish,’ his single, at this show. He released “Hell’s Kitchen Angel,” the album, in 2016. His ‘Love Me Less’ single reached the Top-20 on the Top 40 Radio in 2019.

Schneider was raised in a Jewish household, his father being Jewish and his mother converting to Judaism subsequently. He married Emily Cannon on April 1, 2016. The couple gave birth to their daughter, Edie Celine in December 2020.
