Background

Lauren Parissa Abedini, a.k.a Kittens, is an American DJ and actress whose talents have earned her country-wide recognition. She is a Libra, born on October 7, 1989, in Los Angeles County, California. Her father is a Persian/Iranian immigrant. She grew up on the outskirts of L.A. Abedini developed an interest in the local nightlife and music scene when she was a teenager. She is a woman of color who’s unapologetic about her identity.

In 2000, at age 11, Abedini had a minor role as Sara in the movie “Surviving Paradise.” Soon after, she watched a DJ perform, and something sparked in her. Since then, Abedini has been creating music as a disc jockey. Her unique DJ style is a fusion of hip-hop and electronic. In 2013, Abedini opened for Kid Cudi on his tour. Three years later, she created deejaying tutorials for Beatport. Due to her balance of low grinding electronic beats, heavy rap, and future beat music, Abedini has collaborated with famous artists like Usher, Skrillex, and A-Trak. In 2021, she launched her “She/Her/They” podcast. The following year, she became a partner for Y.S.L. Beauty. In June 2022, she released her single ‘Let It Go,’ which she produced with Fool’s Gold Records.

Abedini is a talented DJ and producer set to turn the music industry on its head. She keeps her relationships private. However, she was rumored to be in a relationship with Demi Lovato in 2017 after the two were seen cozying up at Disneyland. Neither party confirmed the relationship. Abedini is currently in a relationship with Amen.
