Holland Marie Roden is an American T.V. actress who was born on October 7, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. Roden had an interest in the arts from a young age and particularly enjoyed putting on one-woman shows to entertain her family. Holland Roden was born on October 7, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. She and her three siblings grew up with their parents, who were well educated. While Roden took an interest in acting from a young age, putting on shows for her family, she was also very dedicated to getting an education. When she completed high school, she attended U.C.L.A. to pursue a degree in Molecular Biology. While studying, she joined the university’s drama department, as she was still enthralled with the world of acting. She had pursued her pre-med degree for three and half years when her career in acting was starting to take off. This was when she decided to get her degree in women’s studies, which she was very interested in, and she also began to focus on her acting career!
Within just two months of hiring an agent, Roden scored her big break in 2007 and got a role in the H.B.O. series “12 Miles of Bad Road.” Unfortunately, the show was canceled before it even premiered and Roden got her first taste of the unpredictability of the show business. This did not deter her, however, and she went on to play small roles in other series, waiting for her next break! In 2009, she landed one of the lead roles in the movie series “Bring It On: Fight to the Finish,” which increased her popularity and saw her becoming an overnight Hollywood sensation!
In 2011, Roden found herself cast in a leading role in the hit teen M.T.V. drama “Teen Wolf,” where she portrayed Lydia Martin, who discovers she has the powers of a banshee. This series was incredibly popular and it went on to become one of M.T.V.’s best-scripted shows! This is still one of her most notable achievements and she spent six seasons on the show. Roden went on to play roles in many other series including “Grey’s Anatomy.” Roden has had an amazing career, and we cannot wait to see what is next for this amazing Hollywood actress.
