Jeremih Felton

Background

Jeremih Felton is an American musician and record producer whose talent has set him apart in the music industry. He was born on July 17, 1987, in Chicago, Illinois. Felton’s interest in music started at a young age. By age three, he was playing the drums and later progressed to other instruments. He is of African-American descent and his star sign is cancer. Felton attended Morgan Park High School in Chicago and was part of the school’s Latin jazz band. After graduation, he enrolled at the University of Illinois, where he studied engineering for a year before deciding to switch to music. In 2007, he made the transfer to Columbia College Chicago to learn music.

While he was still at college, Felton collaborated with a record producer called Mike Schultz. The duo recorded a song called ‘My Ride’ before he met with Def Jam’s C.E.O Russell Simmons. Felton performed for the CEO and signed a recording contract with the label the same day. The singer released his debut single, ‘Birthday Sex,’ in February 2009. The single reached number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and by June, he had released his debut studio album, “Jeremih.” The album debuted at number six on the U.S. Billboard 200 and sold 59,000 copies in its first week. He went on America’s Most Wanted Tour with Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, and Young Jeezy to promote the album. Felton did some shows after this before releasing his second studio album, “All About You,” in September 2010. His song ‘Down on Me’ from this album featured 50 Cent, and it remained at the number-one spot on the Rhythmic Billboard chart for eight weeks.

In December 2015, the artist released his third studio album, “Late Nights: The Album,” which featured the hit track ‘Don’t Tell Em’ with YG. He then toured with PartyNextDoor for their joint album, “Late Night Party,” in 2016. Felton has collaborated with the best artists in the music business. From Chris Brown to French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, D.J. Khaled, Lil Wayne, and others. He is a talented vocalist who shares his success with his family. He has two kids and has never been married.
