Diamond Strawberry

Background

Diamond Nicole Strawberry was born on June 28, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, to Lisa and Darryl Strawberry, a former professional baseball player. Her father named her Diamond to show his love for baseball and invest in her the same passion. However, Strawberry was more attracted to dressing up, playing with make-up, and going out instead of baseball, which saddened her dad. When Strawberry was 19, she became pregnant with her first child. She wanted to have it aborted because she wasn’t sure she was ready for the responsibility, but her mother convinced her to keep the child. Her daughter, MyLisa, was born on September 17, 2007.

In 2014, Strawberry moved to New York City to pursue her modeling and music career and to be with her boyfriend, Cisco Rosado. At the same time, she joined the supporting cast of “Love & Hip Hop: New York” season five, a series that showed the journey of female singers trying to enter the music industry in N.Y.C. Unfortunately, Strawberry’s foray into reality T.V. didn’t go well. She had to quit the show because her boyfriend had an affair with another woman and because she had kept her daughter secret from him. The issue was further inflamed when Strawberry got into a fling with a cast member, which angered his then-girlfriend.

She didn’t return to “Love & Hip Hop: New York” after the season’s reunion special and is now focusing on her modeling and influencer career. She has over 270,000 followers on Instagram.
