William Bradley Pitt was born on December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to William Alvin Pitt, owner of a trucking firm, and Jane Etta Pitt, a school counselor. He took up journalism at the University of Missouri in 1982 but dropped out two weeks before graduation. Pitt first appeared in films such as “Less Than Zero,” “No Way Out,” and “No Man’s Land” in 1987.

In “Interview with the Vampire” (released in 1994), he starred with the biggest names in the industry such as Antonio Banderas, Tom Cruise, Christian Slater, and Kirsten Dunst. In 1995, he starred in “Seven” opposite Gwyneth Paltrow and Morgan Freeman. He went on to star in films like “Sleepers,” “Meet Joe Black,” and “The Devil’s Own” over the next few years and also starred in the film “Seven Years in Tibet.” He starred in “Ocean’s Eleven” in 2001. The film’s worldwide gross earnings amounted to $450 million. In “Troy” (released in 2004), he played the character of Achilles. He starred with his soon-to-be wife Angelina Jolie in 2005 in the film “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” He was also the producer of the film “The Departed” in 2006. Martin Scorcese directed the film, which won the Academy Award for ‘Best Picture.’

He married actress Jennifer Aniston in 2000, but they later divorced. In 2014, he married Jolie but they filed for divorce in two years. The two have three biological children and three adopted children. Pitt is famous not only for his talent as an actor but also for his humanitarian work.
