Ariana Renee Trejos was born in Miami, Florida. She’s of Cuban and Nicaraguan ancestry. She has two sisters, Jenessa and Angelica, and a brother, Azaiah. Her mother, Jackie, is of Cuban descent and was born in New York, while her father is from Nicaragua. She was raised in a middle-class family and attended college in Miami, Florida.

Arii began her career on TikTok (previously Musical.ly) when she was 14 years old, in 2015. She began dominating social media not long after. On July 21, 2015, she joined YouTube and posted her first video, which received more than 799,000 views. She then experimented with various niches, ranging from makeup tutorials to lifestyle vlogs and challenges. Her TikTok account has more than 8.9 million fans, making it her fastest-growing platform. She uploaded her first video on musical.ly (now TikTok), on June 2, 2015, and she has since continued to upload comedy, dance, and lip-sync videos, which, together, have received over 438 million likes.
