Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19, 1972, in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, New York City to fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano and film-music editor Thomas M. Milano. She is of Italian descent and has a younger brother, Cory, who is 10 years her junior. She was raised in a relatively conservative and religious family.
