World Series of Beer Pong – January 1-5, 2025

World Series Beer Pong, which takes place from January 1 to 5, is an event where people can play America’s favorite drinking game. It’s always held near or in Las Vegas — because why not? Drinking beer? Fun. Playing games? Fun. Now put them together, and you get the best drinking game there is. The World Series Beer Pong has taken the classic party game and turned it into a professional sport. The rules are easy, and we’ve all played it, right from your friends to your parents.

History of World Series of Beer Pong

World Series of Beer Pong has been held close to or in Las Vegas since January 2006. Hundreds of Satellite Tournaments are held around the world to qualify players to participate in the main event each year. So far, 48 U.S. states have competed in the tournament and people from over 20 countries around the globe have participated to compete in an attempt to claim the prestigious title of World Series of Beer Pong Champions. Who wouldn’t want this accomplishment on their resume?

But it gets better. Not only is the tournament extremely competitive, it’s also very lucrative, with total payouts exceeding $500,000 with just the main event. What’s even better is that you don’t need to be a beer drinker to enjoy this game. Beer is not used in the game cups, nor is it necessary to consume beer at any point of the event.

According to BPONG.COM, the official rules of the event were designed with three purposes in mind: fairness to all players, efficiency in running a maximum number of games at the same time and minimization of possible disputes between participants. While it may look like a fun and easy game, it can be much more difficult than that once you actually start playing. Move over baseball, there’s a new favorite sport.
